Engineering leadership in an AI-accelerated SDLC

AI can make implementation dramatically faster. It does not remove the need for engineering judgment — it makes clear requirements, architecture, delivery boundaries, and quality gates more important.

My experience spans the full software-delivery chain: business analysis, hands-on development, engineering quality, program and financial governance, and product and stakeholder collaboration. That breadth helps me translate business goals into requirements engineers can implement, structure delivery into verifiable stages, establish appropriate quality gates, and communicate technical trade-offs in business terms. In AI-assisted and agentic development environments, I see this end-to-end perspective as increasingly important: faster code generation only creates value when the problem, constraints, validation, and production ownership are equally clear.

Portfolio recovery through clearer delivery governance

Context: A market-data migration expanded into a portfolio with multiple stakeholder groups and delivery dependencies.

Responsibility: Led the delivery-governance response, making owners, decisions, risks, and escalation paths explicit.

Action: Redesigned governance, removed blockers, established a common cadence, and used concise evidence for executive realignment.

Outcome: 17 of 18 RED-status projects moved to GREEN.

I share practical technical knowledge and build communities that help people develop beyond their immediate delivery work.

  • Presented technical sessions on high-traffic web-platform optimisation at OSCE-sponsored community events, covering NGINX reverse-proxy architecture, Java web-platform performance, and WordPress at scale.
  • Co-designed a company-wide Communities of Practice framework through the Luxoft High Performers Club.
  • Founded and led an EPAM employee running community, organising training and preparing colleagues for competitive events.

Endurance sport and coaching reinforce the leadership habits I use at work: long-term planning, objective measurement, regular feedback, resilience under pressure, and sustainable development.

  • Placed third in the 2025 Turkish National Triathlon Cup and am a licensed competitive triathlete and Ironman 70.3 finisher.

  • Built and operate RaceMetrica, a real-time athlete timing, tracking, and event-analytics platform used at live events.
